How It All Started...

“I would go to weddings and events and the food would be good but the service would be bad… The service would be good but the food would be cold. I couldn’t help but imagine, what if the food AND the service were great?” Rusty Griffin

Driven with a passion to produce events at the "wow" level, Rusty Griffin, has become the choice of discriminating event planners all over the Southeast to complete their event with "wow" level catering, award winning bbq, sauces and gourmet dishes.

In the beginning it was just "fun!" But word of his passion and amazing ability spread like wild-fire until most of his weekends and holidays were spent providing prize-winning bbq, sauces and desserts for whole communities!

In 2004, encouraged by the community, Rusty entered his first professional competition bringing home 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies! This was only the first of many competitions where, over and over again, he stole the show!

Winning trophies all over the Southeast brought folks begging Rusty to bring their event up to the "wow" level. This led to catering weddings, birthday dinners, banquets, church picnics and graduations.

With no advertising other than word of mouth, Smokin' Temptations has become THE choice for the discriminate event planner.
